​Greg Bassett

Picture
​Greg Bassett plays horn with the Holland Symphony and West Michigan Symphony, and teaches philosophy at Hope College.  Greg has received degrees from Swarthmore College, New England Conservatory, and Indiana University.  A native of Detroit, he moved to Holland in 2010 after having lived in Cleveland for ten years, where he was a member of the Olympic Brass Quintet, Cleveland Opera Orchestra, and Erie Philharmonic.  He has played with groups such as the Blossom Festival Orchestra, Akron Symphony Orchestra, and Fort Wayne Philharmonic.  He has also been music director of the Solon Opera Orchestra, Chagrin Valley Chamber Orchestra, and Fairview Park Band.  Greg lives in Holland with his wife Katharine, three children (Isaac, Theodore, and Samuel), a dog, and two cats.
